ABOUT THE BOOK:- This book entitled 'Indo-Russia cooperation in South East Asia' is a unique one. Indo-Russia relations have been traced back to the cold war period in the form of Indo-USSR relations. Within the frame work of None-alignment, India cultivated special relations with the then USSR. In the present context of Globalization, the book highlights Indo-Russia relations in South East Asia which carves out a special place for itself. The trade relations in defence equipment and oil have been emphasized. Measures of counter terrorism have also been brought out in their cooperation in the area under study. In addition the book throws light on attempt of India, China and Russia in ushering in a multipolar world to check the global hegemony. Thus the book makes an interesting study of the latest scenario in South East Asia with regard to the activities of the national actors like India, China and Russia. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- Dr. Prachi Madhumita Mohanty did her Masters and M.Phil in Political Science in Fakir Mohan University, Balasore. She has the distinction of being her Ph.D with the prestigious ICSSR Fellowship. . She has Edited one book entitled 'Criminalization of Indian Politics: Multifarious dimensions' and contributed many research articles to various books and journals. She has completed One UGC Minor Research Project on 'Intra-party Conflict in Congress and its impact on its Electoral Fortune: A study of Udala Assembly constituency in Odisha' while teaching in a college.
