Glimpses of Maritaime History of Ancient Odisha

Ananta Narayan Mishra (M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D.) born in 1954, hails from a family of famous academicians and Sanskrit scholars of Odisha. Presently he is working as the Principal of Aeronautics College of HAL, Sunabeda. He is a member of The Sundicate of Berhampur University. He served as the Member Representative of the Vice Chancellor of Berhampur University to the Governing Body of many Colleges of Koraput District. As the member of the Sports Council, the advisory body of NSS & D.E.C., the Academic Council, the Affiliation Committee and the Site Selection Committee for establishing a Degree College in low GER districts of Berhampur University, Dr. Mishra has considerably contributed to the cause of education and youth development in the locality. Being a renowned 'A' Grade Tabla and Flute artist of AIR and Doordarshan as well as a music composer and director of repute, Dr. A.N. Mishra has also been nominated as the member of Local Audition and Recruitment Board of Prasar Bharati (All India Radio), Jeypore by the Director General of Prasar Bharati, New Delhi. His versatility is noticeable from his works on History of Jainism in Odisha, Indian Political Philosophy & the Bhagavad Gita, Current Sociological Issues of the Tribes, Human Resource Management and Education etc.
