About The Book: Late Prof. Dashrath Singh studied different writers, peace scientists and sociologist. In this book, Prof. Singh has compared different tenets of Gandhian philosophy with other contemporary philosophies and has explained to show that Gandhian philosophy has the potential to lay foundation of a new civilized and progressive civilization to achieve objective of 'Sarvodaya'. This book contains ten chapters starting with civilization and culture and ends with Mahatma Gandhi's contribution to Indian Culture. About The Author: Late Prof. Dashrath Singh, was born in a remote village of Bihar namely Manda in 1941 in a humble peasant family. Fighting with all odds Prof. Singh obtained his Masters' degree from Ranchi University, and was honored gold medal. He entered into IIT Kanpur as research scholar in humanities department, was awarded degree of doctorate from Bhagalpur University in 1972. His vast research appeared in form of “Gandhivad ko Vinoba ki Den”, which won prestigious 'Mandan Mishra award' in 1984. Retired as Professor and head of Department of Philosophy and Gandhian Thought from H.D. Jain college Ara, Prof. Singh devoted his life in research and preaching Gandhian Philosophy.
