The present book provides theHistorical and Geographical features vegetation pattern, materialsand methods along with detail taxomic treatments of the collectedspecies. The unique features lies in providing economic utility ofthe collected species based on field data and comparison with theestablished report of utility. The book also exhibits analyticaldrawings and field photographs for a vast majority of collectedherbaceous flora. In the present title, a total of 596 speciesbelonging to 142 families of Herbaceous flora have been enumerated,out of which 83 species having 34 families represent Fern andFern-allies and rest 513 species with 108 families belong toAngiosperm. The book made records of some very interesting speciesas regards to their diverse economic and ethno-botanical features.There are the reports of some new, rare and threatened species inthe present title. Dr. Partha Sarathi Das, M.Sc.,; Ph.D is a faculty member in the department of botany and Biotechnology at Karimganj College, Karimganj, Assam. He specialized in Plant Taxonomy and Diversity. Prof. M. Dutta Choudhury is working as Dean, School of Life Sciences and Head, Department of Life Science and Bioinformatics, Assam University, Silchar. Also he is Director, National and International Academic Collaboration of the University. Prof. B.K. Dutta M.Sc., Ph.D. (Wales)., FPSI, FIMS, FIAS, FLS (London) is holding the office of the Dean of the School of Environmental Science, Assam.
