ESSENTIALS OF BUSINESS ECONOMICS

This book is a short and simpler version of the author’s popular book Managerial Economics, and is focused at undergraduates. The need for such a book arose due to the rapidly growing demand for professional managerial manpower over the past two decades, as a result of which, most Indian universities and the mushrooming management institutes had to introduce degree and diploma courses right at the undergraduate level, with ‘Business Economics’ as a separate paper. The subject matter of this book is based largely on the model syllabus of Business Economics recommended by the UGC for BBA students, though it contains many other topics for the sake of completeness of the subject and for covering the syllabi of a large number of universities. This book is intended to meet the requirement of the undergraduate students of business administration, i.e., BBA, BBE, B Com, and PGDBM courses run by the Indian universities and management institutes.
