The book covers various aspects of plant sciences, such as floristic studies and revisions, new records of plants, nomenclature of taxa, systematic and phylogeny, distribution and conservation, traditional resources, and medicinal uses. The articles in this book are informative and would be useful in updating the floristic scenario of India and beyond. According to a recent estimate of IUCN the current species extinction rate is between 1000 and 10,000 times higher than it would naturally be.
