Descriptive List of Acquired Documents: Vol. VI (1831-1850)

The National Archives of India plays a leading role in preserving the rich and varied documentary heritage of our country. With a view to enriching its collection it regularly acquires precious historical documents, manuscripts, rare books and other archival material through gifts, donations and purchase. Over the years a large collection has thus been built up which is being utilized by the scholars from far and wide. It had been our endeavour to facilitate the academic utilization of this valuable source material and therefore, we had been publishing the reference media of this material for the benefit of the scholar community.
