Contemporizing Pragnya: A Holistic Re Vision

Pragnya is an age-old concept in Indian philosophy. Even its psychological components are described by Charaka in Charaksamhita and Bhagwad Gita. It has been frequently translated in other languages as intellectual ability. The treatise aims to take the meaning of the word a step forward. While there is an intelligent quotient – IQ in vogue since a few decades, there is no indexation for highly intelligent subjects. The book elucidates the qualities that Pragnya encompasses. Having thus discussed the word, ‘Pragnya’ would encompass the book’s aim to contemporise its further use in philosophical literature. For application in evaluation, a questionnaire is devised.
