Madhav Naidu was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and completed his graduation in Medicine from Moscow state University; Russia. He practiced Public Health with an emphasis on international health. Beginning in 2002, he spent three years in Russia as Public Health Advisor. He coordinated projects to improve child survival and immunization rates among rural people in the outlying provinces. He also served as a consultant for UNICEF, the World Health Organization and the World Bank in developing programs for training traditional birth attendants, in community mental health, village health workers, and rural doctors. He has practiced in diverse settings, such as state hospitals, school services, child health and mental health. he has also taught at bachelor’s level.
