The NPE, 1986 has duly realized that separate education for the disabled in residential schools is psyhologically, socially, emotionally and educationally unsecured. Moreover it states that the educational objective must be adherence to integrate the physically and mentally handicapped with social environment to make them able to encounter day-to-day problmes with courage and confidence. The concept of integrated education for children with special needs is a recent origin in place of the term 'exceptional', 'handicapped' and 'disabled' which has been incorporated in different courses with an enthsiastic sprit to gear the plans and programmes among the teachers of our country. This has also prompted innovative scopes in the execution and success of 'Education For All" and Health cover by all to provide equal opportunity to the neglected childern of our society.
