Biodiversity Conservation of North East India -Hardcover

Himalayan temperate and sub alpine zone forests extend from northern Pakistan and adjacent Afghanistan through North-east India to Southwest China. Each of the eight States of the region, namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, boast of several endemics in flora as well as fauna. This region represents an important part of the Indo-Myanmar biodiversity hotspot, one of the 25 global biodiversity hotspots recognized currently.
