He supervised the border fencing andfloodlighting in the borders of Assam, Mizoram,Meghalaya and some Char islands in riverBrahmaputra and 185 kms. of Jammu sector ofIndia Pakistan border. He was decorated with thePolice Medal for meritorious service, thePresidents Police Medal for Distinguished Serviceand the Injury Medal.
