Anna Hazares Call for Second Independence Struggle

Four topics figure in this book. The first is Participatory Democracy where members of civil society need to be involved in governance- This needs to engage intellectual debates at global level in the 21st century. Democracy is rule by laws. When laws do not exist or where existing laws are irrational and imprecise, democracy is weakened to that extent and when in the process of application and interpretation of these laws corruption or influence sets in, democracy degenerates into a form of Banana Republic.
