India and Sri-Lanka are mainly dependent on agriculture. The role of biotechnology in agriculture develoopment is well established now. This edited book entitled "Agro Biotechnology for Sustainable Development" intends to provide a review of selected twenty one contributed papers in the Sri Lanka-India conference on "Agro Biotechnology for Sustainalbe Development-ABSD 2012" on March 12-13, 2012 held at BMICH, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
