Fashion designers work in a number of ways in designing clothing and accessories. Some work alone or as part of a team. They attempt to satisfy consumer desire for aesthetically designed clothing. Haute couture refers to the creation of exclusive custome-fitted clothing. Fashion today is a global industry, and most major countries have a fashion industry. Some countries are major manufacturing centers, notably Indonesia, Phillippines, China, Bangladesh, South Korea, Spain, Germany, Brazil and India. The Indian textile industry is one of the largest industries in the world. The Ministry of Textiles in India has formulated numerous policies and schemes for the development of the textile industry in India.
