The present book entitled Research Methodology: A Course Book is an introduction to the basics of research methodology as practiced in the field of research. As a course book, it has been written with a purpose to help the researchers, Ph. D. students and those who aspire to qualify UGC NET examinations and Ph. D. admission tests conducted by various universities all over India. In different guidelines issued by the UGC time to time it has been stressed that research is integral to the growth of higher education and hence the need for the teaching of research methodology at all levels of teaching at HEIS.
